We learned about deciduous trees and evergreen trees. Deciduous trees lose their leaves during the Winter, while evergreen trees stay green all year round. A great example of an evergreen tree is the Christmas trees people put up in their homes every year, and a deciduous tree which can be seen in our school is the beech tree in the front yard, which is currently shedding its leaves.
We also learned about animals who go into hibernation during the cold months, such as the hedgehog. We even got to hand print paint some hedgehogs to go around our Autumn tree on the display board in the hall outside our classroom.
