As it is Lent and we are preparing for Easter, in Religion this week, we have been talking about the Church. We have looked at photographs of Saint Brigid's Church here in the Curragh Camp and we have talked about times we have visited this church- for Mass, Christenings, Carol Services, Weddings and Funerals. We talked about the different parts of the church such as the Altar, the Baptismal Font, the Tabernacle, the Statues and the Stained Glass Windows. We decided to make some stained glass windows of our own in Art! Eva and Ms. Sheehan helped us cut designs in black paper, we then tore strips of coloured crepe paper to cover the gaps in the black paper. Eva and Ms. Sheehan helped us sellotape the crepe paper onto the back of the black paper. The windows looked so bright when we had finished! We also designed and coloured our own stained glass window pictures, take a look!
