A massive congratulations to each and every boy in Junior Infants! You have worked extremely hard all year and have been a pleasure to teach. Sincere thanks to all parents for their support throughout the year. Your willingness to become involved allowed projects such as 'English for Fun' and swimming lessons to be so successful and enjoyable for the boys! I wish all students, parents and staff members a safe, happy and peaceful Summer.
Today was a very busy day in Scoil Naomh Pádraig! Junior Infants enjoyed cheering on the teams in the Gaelic League Final- Kildare and Galway. They also waved their green flags as our school crest flag and second Green Flag were raised. Well done to all the race finalists and to all who participated in the obstacle course activities. Many boys felt the highlight of the day was the ice-cream cone before home time. Well done boys, you all did excellently today!
Junior Infants have enjoyed swimming lessons over the past few weeks. They have progressed really well and many boys even jumped into the pool during their last lesson. The boys are already looking forward to the swimming lessons which will take place next year! A massive thank you to parents for volunteering their time- your support during swimming lessons was greatly appreciated.
Junior Infants, Senior Infants and First Class had a wonderful day in Lullymore, Rathangan last Friday. We set off on the bus from school first thing Friday morning all excited for our tour. When we arrived at Lullymore, we met Vicky who showed us the Three Bears' Little Cottage, the Three Little Pigs' straw house (which we tried to blow down!) and also the Fairy Village! We then boarded the train and took a trip around the Bog of Allen, we saw lots of bog oak on the journey. Afterwards, we had a chance to visit the pet farm. We got to see lots of lovely animals such as chicks, ducks, pigs, ponies, calves, pheasants and bunnies. We couldn't believe how friendly some of the animals were! We had our lunch inside and then we visited the Funky Forest indoor play area! It was very busy but we had a brilliant time playing in the ballpond, on the slides and exploring the maze. Before we had to return home, we had a chance to visit the playground outside. It was very hot but we had lots of fun. A big thank you to Adam's mum, Noleen, and Aoife for all their help on our tour! We had a great day!
