On Monday 21st, the children in the school all got a lovely surprise in the form of a visitor to the school, who was here to talk to us. Brendan, our visitor, is a storyteller, and has written different types of books for both adults and children, including a book all about the different folk tales of Dublin.
Our class was the last class to go listen to Brendan, so we piled into the library after lunch, and got to listen to the different stories which he told us. He told us some funny stories about Lucy, his dog who he dedicates his books to, and some of his other stories even had characters in them with the same names as boys in our class.
Our favourite stories, and the ones which most people laughed at, were stories about Finbar, who was a bit of a silly boy getting himself into different situations, but always managing to get himself out of trouble.
Lots of fun was had by everyone, and we’re really looking forward to the next time Brendan is in, especially if he regales us with even more of his funny tales!! :)
