History Live - World War 1

Today, we had a very special visitor to our school , Mike,  to tell us all about World War 1. The boys in 5th and 6th class are reading The War Horse as part of One Book, One Curragh, and we were lucky enough to be invited to sit in on the exhibition too!

Mike brought lots of props and costumes for us to use and he choose children from the class to take on the role of various characters in World War 1 as he told us how the war was started, who fought in it, and the different things that happened during that time.

It was really interesting, and was definitely brought to life by Mike and his great storytelling.

We all enjoyed the show.
