We love getting to use our paints in our class, and recently we decided to do a little bit of colour mixing. We used paper plates, that were divided into six sections, and we used these to make our colour wheels. We learned all about the primary colours - red, yellow and blue. We put these on our plates, skipping leaving a gap between each colour, before we mixed our primary colours to make our secondary colours. Check out the different colours we can get when we mix the three original colours. The following week, we decided that every group was going to concentrate on just one colour, and see if they could make different shades or tints of that colour. We found out that by adding white to a colour it went lighter, and by adding black to a colour it went darker. We were really happy with our work and we have made a big colour mixing display in the main hall for everyone to check out! :)
